CFA wants hear from you (ZT)
At a San Francisco security analysts Career Day gathering, Jeff Diermeier, CEO of CFAI was quoted in Investment News - The Weekly Newspaper for Financial Advisers (June 20th) as saying:
"If you know somebody who always passes these exams but didn't [pass the CFA after properly studying], I want to know about it," Mr. Diermeier said. "We're seriously concerned about this." He used a chart showing that nearly 100% of CFA test takers passed in 1963 but that the passing rate fell steadily until last year, when just 34% passed the first level and 32% passed the second level. Results for 2005 won't be known for a couple of months. Mr. Diermeier added: "When you're a steward for an organization and you see a phenomenon like this develop, you're concerned."
Well folks, let him hear from you. No one should complain further unless they take the action Mr. Diermeier suggests.
